Two others from the firm were installed as Board Members

Washington, DC -- Cassidy & Pinkard Colliers today announced that on December 10, 2008, Christopher A. Sowick, Senior Vice President, was installed as the 2009 President of the Greater Washington Commercial Association of REALTORS^® (GWCAR). In addition, Cassidy & Pinkard Colliers' Mark O. Sullivan, Senior Vice President, and Christopher S. Lucey, Assistant Vice President, were installed as GWCAR Board Members. The ceremony was conducted during GWCAR's holiday party at Ruth's Chris Steak House in Arlington, Virginia.

During his speech, Mr. Sowick stated, "Our mission this year, as a Board, will be to build on those activities that will enable us to enhance our relevancy to the brokerage community, encompassed within the theme of Service." Mr. Sowick added, "I envision three components to our Service mission: service to our members, service to the community, and service to the Board and to each other."

Mr. Sowick has been recognized by GWCAR as a top leasing broker in Northern Virginia, most recently being ranked #2 in 2007, #6 in 2005 and #4 in 2003. In addition, he received the organization's Brendan McCarthy Award in 2005.
